Trees absorb CO2, keep the carbon in the wood and release oxygen. At the end of a wood product's life it can be recycled or burnt, substituting for more harmful fossil fuels. Sustainable forestry means each tree felled is replaced: forever.

International certification schemes like FSC or PEFC guarantee wood is sustainable. Over 60% of UK wood is certified, and almost all the rest is legal. Wood can be risk assessed for legality through due diligence systems such as our RPP.
