Glued Laminated Timber Association Signs Timber Industry Accord

The Glued Laminated Timber Association (GLTA) has added its strength and support to the UK Timber Industry Accord.

Signing the Accord, Chris Mettem, Chair of the GLTA said: "The GLTA has, for twenty five years, been at the forefront of promoting timber as a primary structural material. We welcome the Accord’s move toward more coordinated efforts throughout the industry supply chain which we are confident will have mutually supportive benefits for all."

John White, Chief Executive of the Timber Trade Federation said: “We are pleased to welcome the GLTA into the Accord. We always know that, like their products, we can rely on their long-lasting solid strength and support as we coordinate efforts to grow the timber industry in the UK.”

The Glued Laminated Timber Association is an independent trade association representing the leading UK companies in the Glulam industry. Members of the Association provide a comprehensive design, supply and erection service for beams, arches, portal frames and trusses, together with associated materials.
