Education Training and Careers

Why be part of the wood industry?

Here's a number of really good reasons!

Careers in the timber industry can range from felling and harvesting trees to creating intricate and beautiful mouldings for windows, doorways and other applications. Or you could design the latest engineered product for the market; or design a timber frame house; or find yourself building one.  Maybe you want to be the engineer that maintains a sawmill or someone who sells timber and timber products through a timber merchant. Whatever your interests are, be it design, architecture, science, manufacturing, logging, journalism, PR, accounting, the environment, IT, sales etc etc, there's a job to suit you.
