Timber Trade Federation Launches Online Product and Member databases
28th February 2001
Following the launch in September 2000 of the TTF's new web site at www.ttf.co.uk, this month sees the addition of two new interactive services to the leading timber industry site. The web site now features a member and product directory in order to provide direct access for web site visitors.
For both industry professionals and consumers, the directories provide immediate access to important information and assists in the location of timber industry professionals, products and services, saving valuable time and effort. Visitors to www.ttf.co.uk are now able to search the members' directory by name or location and are provided with a list of members and their products and services in their area.
The range of products offered by TTF members covers all aspects of timber whether softwood, hardwood or panel products. All these products adhere strictly to current European Standards and Codes of Practice. All companies in membership of the Federation have had to satisfy strict criteria before joining.
Alternatively, users can search by product or service type. A product search provides details about timber product type, density, colour, durability, permeability, origin and species name. A service search provides access to information on doors, flooring, windows, decking, sawmilling and joinery specialists to name just a few of the services provided by TTF members.
ttf.co.uk also provides Federation members, consumers and industry professionals with immediate access to a host of additional online information and services, reinforcing the TTF's role as the leading trade body for the timber industry.
Mark O'Brien, the TTF's Public Affairs Manager said, " This is yet another positive development in the Federation's communications strategy. Our website continues to develop as an important source of information for a range of audiences, particularly specifiers and consumers. "
