TTF Launches Weekly Electronic Newsletter

The TTF has launched a weekly electronic newsletter containing up to the minute information on the economy, the construction industry, political news and environmental information (Friday 1 November).

Mark O'Brien the TTF's Public Affairs Manager said, " This new initiative allows us to provide the Federation's Membership with a wide range of information on a variety of topics of interest to the trade.

TTF meet Japanese Counterparts

The Timber Trade Federation has met with the Managing Director of the Japanese Federation of Wood Industry Associations, Mr Koji Kadoya and Dr Hiroaki Kakizawa of Hokkaido University (Thursday 7 November 2002). The meeting discussed the current work of the Federation and heard of the Japanese approach to dealing with issues such as illegal logging.

Paul Martin TTF Director-General said, " It's always useful to be given the opportunity to meet with other timber trade associations for an exchange of views and information."
